HDR for Clearflow

I recently took some photos for Clear-flow Ltd, a dynamic local septic tank empty company based in St Day (near Redruth and Truro). Clear-flow Ltd cover all of Cornwall and Devon, emptying septic tanks, as well as offering drain clearing services.
These pictures were taken using a relatively new technique known as HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography.
They wanted the photos quickly for a presentation but it was late evening and with low cloud, not very promising conditions.
The technique involves taking several images and superimposing them on one another with sophisticated software so that the whole range of light levels are recorded. A normal photo exposed for the midtones (people) may result in part of the sky being burned out. With hdr, information in the shadows as well as in the sky is recorded. The result can produce surreal effects but it will also produce a punchy image which catches the eye.
